11 - Raphinha

For me it's pretty simple. In order of importance:
1) Get some cheap depth at fullback (Galan, Azpi..).
2) Raphina would be nice as I can't stand Dembele.
3) Try to get one luxury signing done (Kounde, Tchouameni...)*.

If 3) doesn't work out try to get a world class player with a more questionable age for a lack of alternatives (Koulibaly, Lewandowski).

*would love nothing more than us finding a luxury solution at FB, but highly doubt that's possible

Barca wont be signing Kounde or Tchouameni regardless but the point is selling Dest/not renewing Roberto and telling Alba he is free to go and it wouldnt be the outlay for full backs you mae out.

It doesnt cost all that much if commit to getting rid of the players currently there that have failed.

Full back are is first area that should be strengthened or attempted to and Xavi/club dont want that.

Dest, Roberto, old Alves didn't fail because of some hidden variable, they're just not good enough and lack in certain areas. None of them can defend for example. I'd cash on Dest this summer and invest in another RB, don't mind Roberto as a backup. Mazraoui would be decent enough and an upgrade on Dest even if average himself. The market is bad and we're broke so unlikely we make a big signing there, even if an excellent FB was available.

On the left, still feel none of the names brought up is an improvement. Malo Gusto is 18 and that will likely keep us away from him even if we show interest. Can't say I mind taking a risk if terms are friendly but that's far from a solution. Gaya or Galan should be brought at least, we need another LB.

🚨🚨| Adama Traore will NOT continue at FC Barcelona - the club has made the decision because the priorities are Demb?l? & Raphinha.

Gusto is RB.

Btw, I don't think the market is dry for fullbacks.
There is like half dozen or more decen Spanish LBs who are under 30 (Gaya, Grimaldo, Galan, Gomes, Pedrosa, Angeleno) in addition to few others in Bundesliga like Raum and Sosa. All would be upgrade over Balde or Dest as back up LV, and probably decent enough for starting position than 34 years old Alba (his age next year)
At RB Malo Gusto is the guy to go, need to follow him IMO.
Midtable EPL clubs has few others.
There is always players who can improve you in the market in any position of need if you look at the right names. This is why clubs hires SD at 7 figure salaries. To select the right choices.
I agree with Jamdav that upgrading fullbacks is essential, and not with Spanish "has been" either.
I am not 100% surr it is too priority though, I can live with Dest as starting RB if it means we get upgrade on CB/DM/GK
Raphinha for 25M helps in attack, and could be enough

If you wanna know more about him just read his Leeds Forum thread. Best way to know from people who watch him week in week out.

Why was he subbed off today?

He basically lost his mind over what he thought was a bad decision by the ref against his teammate - he started screaming at the ref who booked him but that made him even more enraged so he carried on following the ref and screaming at him .. luckily the Arsenal players then his own players dragged him away before he got red carded himself
