I am no fan of his tehnical abilities but he works like a mad man.
I respect hard work and now he gets confident he is a star and that can change everything for him.

He isn't even really bad technically, he is great at passing, his dribbling style is just a bit clunky and ungainly so he struggles to smoothly go past players.

But in general his technical skills are passable for Barcelona.

What I like about him he times his runs very well. This has always been a major strength of his, but you need the right players to see the run and execute the pass. Yamal, Olmo, Pedri or even Cubarsi always have eyes for runners and can execute the pass.

He will definitely score more goals this season.

The biggest change by far this season is that he's not being deployed like a touchline winger as he was under Xavi. He's got the freedom to move inside, go centrally at times which makes it easier for him to make these runs behind the defence he's gotten so good at.

A bit more similar to how he was at Leeds.

Will probably still have games where he'll frustrate everyone lol, but no matter what he's someone who will always work his ass off for the team. No one can ever question his commitment.

Hug the line raphina hasn't really been a thing since like his first 6 months at barca, it's one of those stereotypes that fans can't shake, he's a winger he's suppose to be wide to stretch the pitch, but almost all his goals contributions have come from him cutting inside and running off the ball, it evolved even more towards the end of last season, when xavi played him on the left side, like he's being played now.

All the hate came from the fact that he can be a very frustrating player and he isn't a dribbler.

So most ignored his other positive attributes.

Xavi absolutely played him really wide. It's not a stereotype. He was constantly out wide whether at RW or LW. Although it started changing a bit towards the end of last season.

Nothing wrong with having a winger also stay wide to stretch the pitch, but he's not the type to hug the touchline most of the game as he used to do. He's not a great enough dribbler to play that style.
