Xavi absolutely played him really wide. It's not a stereotype. He was constantly out wide whether at RW or LW. Although it started changing a bit towards the end of last season.

Nothing wrong with having a winger also stay wide to stretch the pitch, but he's not the type to hug the touchline most of the game as he used to do. He's not a great enough dribbler to play that style.

He averaged 1 goal contribution every 2 games during his time at Barcelona, basically the same he averaged at Leeds btw, by hugging the touch line?.

Make it make sense?.

He held the width because we had kounde at RB and then came in to create damage, much like yamal is holding the width on that side now for the same reason.

He's just a average dribbler at best and fans couldn't see past that.

It was "ugly" but they numbers don't lie, it was always effective.

Blade held width on the left, raphina on the right, because all teams need to stretch the pitch, but he was never stuck there and couldn't one in

Raphina is still a flop and shite, but Flick is such an elite manager that he makes even modest players rise up 2 tiers above their usual level.
In 4 games, he's gone from crap to world class for some posters 😂 😂 😂.

This place is hilarious.

It's the same as other forums. Hate poisons the brain and destroys any logic and reason.

Now that Xavi is gone some of the posters around here are starting to heal.
