Bullshit, of course. Probably resting him for Dortmund. It makes no sense but it does look like Hansi prioritizes UCL over the league, even at the cost of dropping crucial points.
Maybe it's part of the plan when he came - Laporta told him he just wants the CL and doesn't care so much about the league. Or maybe Hansi himself made it his absolute priority.
Either way so far, it does like Hansi prioritizes UCL over Liga to a very huge extent.

Fresh legs wasn't the problem against betis we struggled from the kick off because betis had their setup right.
Maybe his best bet is the CL this season, because very little chance we win la Liga conceded 40 goals.
I keep saying it, this is not the BL, it's fine winning a game by 1 goal, if you can't master that, you will have a hard time winning the league.

Prioritizing CL at this point is stupid. Would understand if we were in QF or SF but not for group stage games when we are already through.
That said Raphi was pretty poor and I had no problems subbing him out. Flick's "tactics" are bigger issue than his subs. It's obvious that whoever comes off the bench will be a downgrade to starters but can't play the same XI full 90 minutes every game.

Yeah, tactics are a problem because they are built almost exclusively on running and pressing all the time. This is simply delusional and unrealistic, to expect a short squad to play 50 games like that.
What he needs to do is slow down and pace ourselves. Work the ball and make the opponent chase it.
Be smarter, move the ball more, dial down the chaos that is constantly present in our matches. We are supposed to command the game and impede the other teams from playing, make them play our game. Not trade blows vs midtable sides and compete with them for who can run more. Teams in Spain are superior technically to every other league and are more disciplined at the back than any other league. If you give them spaces, and lose the ball in poor positions often, they will hurt you.
