Will be interesting to see how this guy does under Flick.

On paper, he fits the Flick prototype player and would thrive under the football that Flick likes to play.

Could be a big season for him.

He is not quick enough to be a world class winger and his delivery from wide areas is generally fairly poor. It's actually commendable that he has managed to have so many goals and assists when he isn't playing in his best position.

He is somewhat similar to Bale but slower, and that's why he has to play centrally ( like Bale did when he lost his pace ).

He lacks the guile of attacking midfield players like De Bruyne and Wirtz, but it is a myth that you need intricate passing to play well in that position. Raphinha can be effective centrally with his movement, getting in the box, long range shooting and goalscoring. Much like an older Bale was, or a Lampard or Wesley Sneijder.

Bale had way more technical ability and was an elite shooter, crosser and set piece taker while being immensely clutch and beating defenders with remarkable ease. Bale had good Football IQ and made great decisions during counter attacks. Terrible comparison and disrespectful to Bale who was a force of nature in his pomp.

Top speed is overrated.

He has top notch acceleration. If he had superior technique also, he'd be a world class player. But the issue is that his touches are heavy and not refined enough. He is a limited player in that sense, but he has many qualities that are not easy to find in other players, and thanks to those he could play in just about any team. He could feature even in Madrid's side on the right.

Amazing is a stretch, he was okay, the others were just very poor.

He was still the first to be subbed

Not his fault. Manager should have subbed Vinicius off first but looks like there are orders from above to let him stink up the field for as long as possbile.

Imo best front 3 for Brazil is Rodrygo LW, Raphinha RW and Endrick as 9.

Nobody is benching Vini.
