Not yesterday.. Raphinha did it in first half then was very slow to get back in 2nd and help Gerard. To the point that the 3rd or 4th time Gerard was left 1v1 he took on Gavi to LW and moved Raphinha inside.
Pedri also was leggy to get up and down park.
FDJ will get up and down park better than Pedri also but Flick doesnt expect that from Pedri anyway as not box to box.

Nah he isnt. Neither really play that way but Pedri has more freedom off the ball.
Pedri is not chasing the ball from box to box at all.
Has more freedom than FDJ majority of time though.
If asked to get up and down park it would be FDJ who would do that quicker.
When Barca lose the ball Pedri presses on front foot to win it he isnt chasing ball back into own box it is about trying to put pressure on to win ball back early and to stop easier balls behind high line.

There would more than a dozen clips even from last 3 matches where Pedri was inside the box or at the edge of it defending and in few seconds at the other end trying to produce the final pass or shoot.

Pedri is not running from box to box. Neither of them are.
He is the one that has more freedom than FDJ though to close and look for ball though.

At times FDJ will pick up and drive and does have more freedom than a set deep DM.. just not as much as Pedri.
Can see moments of that also.
