A defense of Alves, Masch, Puyol, Alba would be pretty short...

But I feel like this might be a good formation to try, especially against Madrid:

^Busquets still kinda sucks without Xavi though, so maybe either bench Cesc/Iniesta to come on as a sub, or better yet bench Alves and put Puyol on RB duty, especially if Alves is still playing like a lazy git.

He has positioning errors. The fact Masch is currently the best cb actually speaks volumes on how bad the defense is.

Our defence only resort to sliding tackles nowadays it seems. They always gets behind and have to save it by sliding, which is extremly risky proven by Mascherano today.

All the defenders are ONLY watching the ball, bullrushing the one holding it. Check it next game, its really bad. Its like they reverted back to how 5 year olds play not having a clue whats going on behind them.

Against Sevilla it coulda been 1-0 Sevilla in the first minute, 5 players charged the ballholder, while one player was completly free behind them, noone was evern trying to mark him. Pique got lost on the goal by missing whats going on behind him.
