Tuchel in the post game presser admits his mistake that Christensen was left against Vinicius.

Chelsea are the most clutch English club.

Christensen just looked poor because everything was off today. Don't single him out

He's a fine CB.

Can't expect much from any CB when Chelsea's set up basically neglected Madrid's wingers and gave them tons of space to operate.

Disasterclass tactics.

He was bad and he will never be Araujo's level but we'll see how will he look like here. There is no risk for Barca, we can easily sell him for at least 20 mil back to EPL even if he flops.

Playing with 3 at the back was a disastrous idea against Real. Christensen was bad and I am not sure if he is Barca level player but Tuchel is the one to blame for yesterday's display.

Dawg he played the exact same last year when they knocked Madrid out. XI was almost identical too, with only James replacing Chilwell and Havertz/Pulisic for Werner.

Pau Torres the Spanish Lenglet
Christensen the Danish Lenglet
Suele the German Lenglet
Maguire the English Lenglet

Is there a decent CB out there on the market that folk are not gonna compare to a rotten player that happened to not work out because he came to the club in the worst period in 30 years and has to put up with Pique's ass?

Tbf Lenglet is a good measuring stick. He was just short of having enough quality for us. If anyone is the "...." Lenglet then he's not really good enough. If he's better than him then we're on to a winner. If he's worse then god help us.

Lenglet was never brought to be a starter but did a good job in his first 18 months or so. Later he and Pique just got exposed because they are too slow to play together. Add to that "being protected" by an even slower midfield with no legs with Busi, Vidal and Raki and the walking amigos upfront and you get a receipt for a disaster. And then he was probably the one who was the most mentally broken by that 8-2 loss and never fully recovered although he did have some good period last season when Pique was injured and Lenglet was paired with Araujo and FDJ was also dropping back to form a 3-4-3 in the buildup.

No reason to change anything now that things are finally working and he's on his way out of the club but I'm sure if he would get a run of games in current team alongside Araujo he would also look at least like a decent CB in a working team/system like he mostly did in the first season under EV and before that in Sevilla. Tbh If we manage to guarantee a top 4 finish with 2-3 games left (and we won't have chances to win La Liga anymore) I could see Xavi giving Lenglet a few starts to put him in a shopping window, especially if we'll rotate/rest players for the EL.
