Lenglet was really good for a period in a back three under Koeman, like Mingueza was. He would probably pretty decent if given a run in this Xavi team considering how everything in front of him is working properly in terms of pressing. Still Araujo and Pique are clearly ahead of him, and Garcia has shown the level that he is worthy to develop ahead of Lenglet.
He could very well return to a good level with a move to a team a level below Barcelona.
You watch Villarreal yesterday and the defensive partner to Pau Torres was Raul Albiol, who was more of a joke than Lenglet years ago but has turned into a solid CB for Villarrea these days. And there should be teams who will find Lenglet worthwhile of the investment.
