But after a few games? He's be 100000x as good.

Not really. Mahrez was a very good even great player. It's not a knock on Yamal if he tops out there at worst.

Mahrez on a much worse team had 17g and 11 assists in the EPL. I'm not an EPL guy but to do it for Leicester City is very impressive not to mention won the league. I think Yamal can be this at worst if he doesn't improve much.

If he does improve as expected he can be Neymar. Also stats do matter. You can have all the talent but if he isn't scoring are people ever going to actually rank him high once the "he is insane for his age" moniker wears off?

It is impressive but also if that is the bar then could say no one in EPL will ever come close to Vardy, Mahrez and Kante that season which is clearly not the case.

Mahrez was a better all round player by City and as top players do facing defence set up to stop his team.
