Vitor Roque (loaned to Real Betis)

In 2024 or 2025 Julian Alvarez might be tired being the backup at City, or Haaland might want to move on, especially if Pep leaves, or someone like Vlahovic might be available if he stays at Juve this season.

Maybe we should just keep it cool for now.

Agreed, from what I've seen so far of Roque, he seems very raw right now and ideally we should look back at him in summer 2024 just to see how he develops (of course, his price might be higher then).

Vlahovic isn't proving himself as top striker, Halaand won't come here, and half of Europe top clubs want a new 9 so waiting sounds good, but might force us to pay 70M or more for Lautaro at the end

Vlahovic may not be a top striker, but Allegri's system and how he uses him does him no favour. Both Chiesa and Vlahovic are frustrated and seemingly considering leaving Juve because of it.

Even his highlights on YouTube are not impressive.

Weak dribbling (33% success in the Brazilian championship), poor speed, clumsy technique (look at his ball control, this is some kind of drunken master style).

What's this shit

Now this is football

Sure, and it isn't like he will have Xaviesta creating for him here either. He is also Bayern top target.
For me he isn't a top striker and wouod cost an arm and leg to get him.

IMO, it is a gamble either way. Won't pay 40M+ for Roque right away, too much for it. But at 25-33M might be worth the gamble.

99% of players, even massive talents are gonna come up short vs. Neymar lol.

Neymar was generational. Unfair to compare him to others.

Coldest mofo around

Neymar is 31 and his own club wants to get rid of him, with KSA the only "country" interested.
Who is the next Neymar? Who is this players who are humiliating GK and defenses?

It is a dying breed mate, arguably the most entertaining U-30 forward (yes, U-30) is Vinicius and he is no where near technical abilities of Neymar, never mind Messi or Ronaldinho.

That is a side effect of teams training their players to be effective machines rather than artists, it simply doesn't allow the later type to flourish and appear.

Halaand might win Balón dor, and for sure to win the best, and his technical abilities is closer to Oleguer than Neymar.
It is a new era mate, enjoy it

No it isn't when they're asking for over 40m for him

I mean it still is.

I don't think we should pay 40m for him, but even Vinicius and Rodrygo who went for the same or more were not close to same level as Neymar.

Comparing a generational talent to anyone, even a world class talent like Vinicius was is silly. If you're only going to sign generational talents you're going to end up without a job.
