20 - Dani Olmo

At least Gundo would play and we wouldn't have the shitshow with the registration and we would have kept 60 mil for players that actually play football.
You are making too much sense for some people here. Not everyone with access to Internet has the capacity to think rationally and objectively.

Not to get between the on going between you and Jam but comments like this makes me think you have little idea about football beyond crazy a cult-like fetish for players. You pick a position but dknt care to do a simple resesrch to see if it id warped or nor

Internet is full of reports Flick came out openly stauting he wanted Gundo to stay but the player wished to leave. It was Gundos decision, not Flicks. Gundo also gave an interview after resogning for City that he left to help yhe clubs financial situation. If Gundo had been an Umtiti(refusing to leave his contract until settled) Olmo would have been watching La liga from the stands despite the 60m.

Gundo also played CM/AM under Flick in the German team while deploying the same systrm he is using at Barca now( a chaotic 3-2-4-1), slightly ahead of Kroos, even being the team captain . A new coach at a new club willing to deploy his own new tactis will defintely prefer a player that is used to such tactics than a new one who needs time to adapt. Flick never even had any day in all the signings. He was too new to be consulted.

There is nothing going on he's just rambling and spinning words as per usual.

Gundogan is gone, olmo is here and thats good.

But the gundogan being washed and all that stuff, I won't stand for.

If he was here, he would be doing just as well as olmo if not better, if for nothing else than he would be more available and he's also class.

City is just poor this season it has nothing to do with gundogan

Absolute nonsense..

Gundogan cant move in way Olmo does.

There is a reason club/Flick wanted Olmo in ahead of him.

Gundogans legs went as season went on.. he was leggy at Euros and been leggy for City.

Part of Citys problem absolutely is likes of Gundogan... go read what their own fans think on it.

Flicks style absolutely doesnt work with 34 year old Gundogan behind old Lewa.. which is why he wanted to leave after speaking with Flick.

These reports should tell anyone the reason Gundogan left. Not any bullshit from the brain spurts of someone who could only be good at cheerleading for women's synchronised swimming or netball but trying to analyse football.

Throwing players under a bus happens all the time, as far as I can remember.

People were discounting Pedri too due to injuries. Iniesta had some unfortunate periods of being sidelined early in his careers.
In any case, Olmo will be judged in a year or two, once his contract will be running nearer expiry.

That is not correct. No one discounted a player that was outstanding from day 1 and won overall UEFA UCL MVP for the whole of Europe in the round Barca played against Juve, at 17 years and just only a few weeks at Barca(with Messi stilll in the team). Everyone knew he was an outstanding talent from the get go but was just unfortunate with injuries early on. Same for your other comparison with Iniesta, who cost Barca nothing but everyone saw he was a rough diamond who happened to have had a spell of injuries earlier in his career.

Olmo(+60m) is a nearly 27 year old average level talent who only arrived on the scene for quality after many years of mediocrity but with an unenviable baggage of being broken via many injuries in an injury-ridden career. There is a huge contrast.

He was a panic buy and a classic example of how not to run a club that should be a case study for students in Business schools. That is not throwing him under the bus.

If he comes clutch this end of the season, doesn't get injured often in 2025, and performs well.
I think we won't need another No.10, ala Musiala or Wirtz.

But if he doesn't, we will be in the market for a 10. Also depends on Fermin performing.

We have to get past BvB without him, eliminate Pathetico to CdR final without him, and win the various LL games

Problem is: when he is back, he would need rhythm.
Practically that means he won't start a game until the end of the season.
Others will be in much more rhythm than him.

I think this is not his last injury of the season. I belive he has one more in him.

Think he will do good when he comes back. Just like the last couple of weeks, he will be played as a supersub.
Its a role I think will make him perform the best.

60m for a super-sub is too much.

He should get his shit together with our medical team, do all the DNA-muscle tests, chart the perfect training regime, and not get injured AGAIN, starting with 25-26 season

If his 25-26 season is like this one in terms of injuries, he should simply go...
