Messi runs as much as he does in Barca, that means not much without ball. But there is difference with him in Barca and NT and that is ball sharing. He is used to playing with players who are not ball hogs and are generaly not fond of hero balls. He comes in NT and literally no one plays simple 1-2. ADM and Aguero being prime examples.

Di maria and Aguero are greatly responsible for the lack of collective play, to much EPL influence.

Their football IQ is nonexistent, sadly there is nothing you can do, they are the national heros.

Argentina problem aren't attacking players and ball hogging. It's the lack of creative options in midfield.
Riquelme and Veron weren't best amc in the world in their time but even those two are league above Pastore.

And yes, then there's Tata and his flaws

No, its definitely ball hogging. ADM lost 15 balls just in first half, I dont think entire Barca team loses that much in whole match. He could have passed half of these with ease but flicks and rainbow tricks are more fun to him

I actually think Pastore has been one of Argentina's better players, certainly top 3 for me so far in the Copa.

Brazil's line up:

Jefferson; Dani Alves, THIAGO SILVA, Miranda, Filipe Luis; Elias, Fernandinho, Fred; Neymar, FIRMINO, Willian.

(out go D. Luiz and Tardelli, in come T. Silva and Firmino, too bad Coutinho is not fit to start, he should be in the team imo).

Bald but right moves by Dunga, specially considering I wasn't expecting him to make a single alteration in the starting 11, he's learning on the job, it seems.

Still looking for Colombia's line up... (looked everywhere, BBC, goal dot com, etc)

EDIT: Colombia XI: Ospina, Zapata, Armero, Murillo, Zuniga, Sanchez, Valencia, Cuadrado, Rodriguez, Falcao, Gutierrez

I would go as far as playing Marquinhos at CB or DM and replacing Fernandinho. He's not a defensive midfielder and can't perform 10% as well as Luiz Gustavo there, not to mention the fact his form dipped drastically since the World Cup. Not a starter for me.

Electric atmosphere at the stadium judging by what I'm seeing online. Colombia are practically playing at home. Promising stuff.

Mind you, Riquelme was pretty fucking good.
