It's not the moment to need to turn to Roberto though.

It's fine though, perhaps Xavi has seen everyone in training and doesn't see any first team potential in any of the guys on the US tour.

Sometimes it is great though to drop a young player in surrounded by the first teamers so you can see if he moves up to the level, something you can seldomy do during the actual season.

But he is certainly not inclined to give youth opportunities that's for sure. Which long term helps with youth players wanting to stay and/or join.

Roberto is better than all our youth players right now. And he will actually play a part in our season. No need to hand out freebies.

Oh Xavi, such a scrub. Eric Garcia over Inigo and Faye. Roberto instead of moving Pedri to midfield and playing Abde, Fati or Torres at LW.

Putting in Roberto and Garcia is an absolute waste of precious preseason minutes.

Maybe. But I see the guy filling the offensive space as the most advanced midfielder in a friendly and I find it a f*ckn travesty.
