It's not a novelty what he did today.. his skill set is tailored made for big matches where control of the midfield is important. It's where we need a goal or struggle to score one when he falls short.

Are we asking too much from him?

Busquets didn't offer too much in that department either but we had no problem with his contribution.

Was excellent last night. Can tell that he has been watching tapes of Marc Casado and was thinking "what would Marc Casado do here?" With every touch and action.

Compare his situation 6 months with now, unbelivable comback. I always liked Frenkie, the problem was only his contract but with preformances like this he could end up a club legend in the end. With him renewing, Pedri, Casado and Bernal we are set at double pivot for years.

All the supposed high football IQ people here wanted him gone 🤣 Played injured a lot of last season, then was out for a while due to letting it finally heal up, and now after a few months back is back at his best.

Then you got the people whining about his contract. They ask the guy to defer his wages to help the club, agrees, then make him out to be the bad guy when the time comes to pay him back what is owed. Like any person here would do the same and then be like "yea you owe me a ton of money but don't worry about it! You can keep it." 😂

The only thing funnier was when people were saying Gavi was better.

We had tons of good players, but they all looked like shit because our coach was clueless. Titles or not, Flick is a god in comparison.

I think he never played better in Barca's shirt than he does now, even before the injuries. He spent too much time babysitting Busi and running for him and once Busi left he had a nightmare with injuries. Now he's healthy, surrounded with mobile players who run and plays in a double pivot.

Hope they reach a compromise about his wage, he shouldn't get more than Pedri but close.

I approve this comment 1000%.

Reason for bitching him by so many blind ones here was not about football. It was more about the bull shit they read in those journals and blogs put out there by fake journos and compromised writers.

I boldly stated this much on this page last year when he was the most unpopular player on this forum.

Frenkie is a very good player. An immemse asset to any team. He is not even being used to his potentials yet at Bacrca. I have watched FdJ from his Ajax days. He is a libero type of a player through and through(picture Matthias Sammer of Borrusia Dortmund and Germany between 1995-1997)

Also, get a good coach and half of your problems are solved. Flick is the only good Coach Barca has got since Lucho. I am not surprised.
