He does chips

He does.... more progressing passing yds, more progressive passes, more balls into final third, more balls into box, higher expected assist, more through balls, more progressive carrying yds, more progressive carries, involved in more moves that lead to shots, involved in more moves that lead to goals.

He factually hasnt even this season but keep at it.

FDJ dominates him in every progressive stat.

Simples.
You have literal video with bunch of great through balls (not even all of them this season) posted, reality denier.
Dejongs "advancing the ball forward" is mostly 5-10 meter passes into the feet, which is, of course needed too, but not what people mean by progressive passing. His main attacking threat with passing is longer diagonal balls, often lobbed. Apart from that he's pure ball retainer and carrier. Doesn't have an assist/key pass merchant in him. Just not his thing. Acknowledging this fact isn't denigrating. The same as you said about Pedri/Olmo comparison.

FDJ from last season alone when only fully fit for half of it.

If you watch this and think he 'never' passes ball forward you are a numpty plain and simple.

Season before when won league was putting through pass of season for 10 men Barca to win v Osasuna and splitting Espanyol open in their ground to help Barca win league.

Too easy lads.

Have a stat for you: We lost 7 matches this season but lost only once with Frankie playing more than 45 mins.

2-1 Monaco - he was out injured
4-2 Osasuna - he was out injured
1-0 Real Sociedad - played 45 mins.
1-2 Las Palmas - played 33 mins.
0-1 Leganes - on the bench, no minutes
1-2 Atletico - on the bench, no minutes
3-1 Borussia - 90 mins.

(Edited: forgot about Dortmund loss but still pretty interesting)

What have you started...

Of course you did.

Complexity, variety and number of those passes far more for FDJ for me and backed up by stats.

Think what you like. I prefer you thinking this. Each to their own.

Frenkie is a very good player, or at least has started to show it consistently since he got an elite manager at the club after several years.

He's not a GOAT-tier midfielder though or a legendary one, but no one is claiming that anyway. Due to that there will be games here and there where he is underwhelming or not good. It's totally normal and the same goes for a lot of players.

If people's expectations are constant 8 or 9/10 performances every single game then they will be disappointed.
