Good luck trying to offload those. Either too old or beyond repair. And on insane wages.

On top of that, no ambition to leverage.

Yeah, I know. That doesn't mean they should just sell anyone they can.
That's why I said work on selling dead weight. Dont go on easy route.

Eric is still young and is good backup.

They need to work on selling Fati, Lenglet, Ferran, Frankie, Lewa.

10 mil. in this day of age is nothing.

Lenglet has established himself with Atletico and it seems they want him to stay. It seems he himself is ok with that. Let's hope he keeps it up and we seal the deal.

Frenkie is complicated case, because his family is settled here and we have a sour relationship with him and his agent along a big salary he has. Next summer it might work if he is afraid of losing a spot in the World Cup, but then again Koeman loves the guy and hates Laporta, he might promise him a starting spot anyway. Also, at 28, injury riddled season and bad form, he might have lost all the appeal from every European big clubs.

Ferran is fine depth player, he is far more important and superior to Eric, almost same age (11 month difference), both are 24 atm. Eric also wants to leave and has a deal with Girona. You either sell or lose for free. He isn't renewing.

Frankly, I see Ferran renewing on lower wage next summer. He is decent versatie depth. Just make his salary impact less (still 20M amortization remaining on 2 years) and he is good.

Lewa has one year left, but honestly, an ideal situation is to see if he is willing to distribute his salary for next year on 2. He would be an ideal backup striker, and on half the cost, we will be able to get a new no9.

Yikes, so another 2 1/2 season of Lewa? I understand how you think, if we distribute his salary over 2 years we could probably fit another striker into the 30M we pay Lewa. But it's frustrating to watch him now, how tf will he look 2 years from now  A deal should have been worked out before he started his second part of the season which automatically extended him - another fuckup from Fatty/Deco...

We were barely able to register Olmo, he knew he would meet the automatic renewals thi season anyway. He himself offered to distribute his salary for this season and next one on an added year but we refused.

I think Lewa on a Larsson role will be perfect tbh. even for another couple of years. Assuming we get a proper starting no9

Yeah I mean now if we're stuck with his wage for next year anyway it doesn't really matter much if we distribute his wage over another season - and like you said, we sign a starting 9 and Lewa agrees to being backup.
Still, his wage was a fuckup from the get go - but we can't really do anything about it now... of course other than learn from our mistakes, which we never seem to do. We should have some kind of wage structure - than take it or leave it, don't sign with us and than bitch about stuff. 20M world class players, 15M very good players, 10M younger players and alright rotation players etc - this is of course highly subjective, but I think you know what I mean. No player above 20M if it isn't next Messi/Neymar/Iniesta... If they are presented with this and don't want to sign, we move on. It's not like many other clubs pay their players above 20M anyway - only Haaland and maybe Bruyne makes more than 20M in EPL for example, Salah makes less...
