24 - Eric García

Nope, I'm not. It's the same to me if we finish 1st or 24th in group, CL doesn't start before March.

Any smart coach would use August-February to build a strong league campaign and then go after it in the CL. Bumsi has concentrated on CL and dropped important points in La Liga.

What do you think of Bah from Valladolid who Man City are signing for 6m, despite having a new BO clause of 23m.

Should we have sold Eric a few weeks ago for 10m and signed him?

No idea, don't think I've watched any Valladolid game this season.

Just one of those teams like Leganes, Espanyol and Getafe that I usually don't watch.

Staying put.

A young, yet experienced, home boy, motivated, winner. Low wages, never complains, plays DM when asked.

These kind of players need to stay as squad players.

No to spending on old, demotivated, foreign players for backups.

Another issue is the reactionary and short term/media attention/feelings nature of transfers being considered.

Cesc just commented there's no chance his Como could get Eric Garcia. "Particularly now that he scored a goal".

Laughable. So the guy is Barca player for years and not all appreciated his worth. Talk about selling him are seriously.
But now he comes in for one match in second half and scores a goal and just like that he's now worthy.

Level of clownery.

He will be sold in the summer, but needed to stay right now because Christensen, Araujo and Inigo are injury prone.

If he is happy as back up on similar salary then keep him past next summer.

The likes of Christensen/Araujo/Inigo would be getting paid too much for that when money could be better used for depth at full back etc.

Watching the highlights again.. Garcia broke the lines with early/accurate balls to feet for the 1st, 2nd and 5th goals.

Just lose so much of that with Araujo at the back and the threat on the right hand side.

The CBs and FDJ, Casado had them on toast in the build up yesterday.
