24 - Eric García

Alright picking a bone with some folks saying, it was Garcia's fault in that fuck up. This was the Taliban's fuckup 100%.
I am not talking about the tackle afterward. Eric maybe should not have gone for the tackle.
I am just setting the record straight.

Every player on the pitch should always be aware of where their markers are around them anticipating a potential pass at any moment. And hyper vigilant in one of the most vulnerable areas, which Garcia wasn't. Before the pass was even made Garcia should've known he was last man if he were to commit recovery foul. This is plain common sense which is what's most embarrassing.

We have too many anti-dna tunnel vision players. Garcia's not low iq like donkey and Balde, and luckily for Balde he has more pace to make up for crap decision making although he has tunnel vision too.

Yes. This was my interpretation during the game. Basically held back until the most dangerous moment. That’s why I don’t understand the Garcia blame.
.....only people who are ardent fans of women water polo and only started watching football yesterday would blame Garcia, even for 1%..... and I'm one of those who wish Garcia never wore a Barça Jersey again after he left on loan ladt season, just to put it in context

Sometimes its more hilarious to read some comments here just for the fun if it, compared to some TV comedy series. if you have spare time, and wish to laugh yourself to stupor, just open this forum and read some infantile posts....its a comedy relief..really.

I blame him for the red card tackle. I guess I should find a stream with women water polo to watch.

I am in no way defending the Taliban.

Both Garcia and Ter Static fucked up. Garcia opened himself to Static and when he passed the ball he made some weird ass turn that made it easier for Minamino to take the ball. He is also to blame for receiving the red card at all. Should have been much easier on the guy and let him score rather than risk playing whole game with 10 men.

Static fucked up in the sense that he had 4 other players completely unmarked and open, and it made absolutely zero sense to pass the ball to Garcia who was marked by 2 men.

I literally pointed it out. Garcia didn't fuck up.
He ran in around 15 meters towards Taliban but didn't receive the ball. Taliban gave him the ball when he was already turning away to beat his marker. Eric had at least 2 yards of clearance before making the turn, if he received the ball then, it would have been an easy pass to Cubarsi who can carry it forward.
Taliban is supposed to be good at this. The only thing he is supposed to be good at.
I can forgive this mistake made by other keepers. But not this guy.
Taliban was supposed to give him the ball at least 10m ahead, but he passed right when Eric was ending his sprint, and thought he might not recieve the ball.

Your inflated ego on a small soccer internet forum is the true comedy. Get over yourself buddy, no one gives a shit. Literally, no one fucking cares.

Plebs like you act all hard from behind a keyboard but in real life you'd keep your mouth shut. Comedy relief, indeed.

He did fuck up. He fouled a guy, denying a clear goal scoring opportunity and got a red in the 10th minute. That's the definition of fucking up. Just because Stegen made a shit pass doesn't mean Eric didn't hande it poorly on his end too.

Stegen had a chance to save it. The player had a chance to have a bad touch, bad pass or poor shot. He could of scored too, but all of these scenarios were infinitely better than getting a red card in the 10th minute.

They both messed up, but one could of cost us a goal, the other made us play with 10 men for almost 90 minutes. I know which one I'd choose and so do all our players.

No defender is going to lose the ball that close to his goal and just stand up. Like you know what, standing still is the best option right now.

Doesn't have to stand up, he can chase to keep pressure without making contact. It gives Stegen a chance to make the save and the player to also miss his shot or make a bad pass. Literally anything other than what he did was better.

My contention is not with the foul he commited. He maybe shouldnt have fouled the guy. I give you that.

I am just pointing out that it was not his fault that he didnt get the ball. That's solely on Taliban.
