Vermaelen is a great Option to have. while it's obviously he's 3rd in the Pecking order Behind Pique and Masche, The First two games he played for the first time in awhile I wasn't nervous about our CB pairing Without pique being there. Mathieu and Bartra just give off vibes of Shakiness and you feel like theirs a good chance of us conceding a goal when they are on. Verm on the other hand looks solid and Secure and doesn't try anything crazy, If he stays Fit he will be a Great Buy and a good Option for Rotational Lineups in Games during the season. Mathieu and Bartra had some good games a season ago but they have dropped Form Recently and I hope with Vermaelen starting off strong they will finally get their ass into gear and stop with the stupid mistakes.

It should happen at some point if Verm keeps up his form. Verm in this form is much better than Mascherano is currently, although I personally doubt Vermaelen will be on this level for very long.

Yeah Vermaelen is totally better after good games against Bilbao and Malaga. Overrated Masche with his countless world class performances against the best clubs in La Liga and CL.

Masche is great, but his height can be siginficant disadvantage against some teams. He could start, but against teams that are great in the air we could use Verminator.

Personally I prefer Masch unless we are playing a team that is based around being good in the air. Masch just reminds me of Puyi in his passion and bravery which is what makes me love him.
