Everyone knows he is a skilled footballer when fully fit (although not 'top CB in Europe'). But he is almost never fully fit, out of the blue he can miss an entire season. At least you can't count on him being fully fit, because he is so often injured or recovering to full strength, so it is kind of irrelevant that he is a skilled footballer, even though most acknowledge that.
