He probably has a reason tbh. We've heard a lot about how Szczesny is doing well but could be a totally different picture in reality, probably is. Don't forget these are the most important games for Flick, he won't start Pena unless it's absolutely necessary. Not happy with the decision but fuck it. We still have a crazy front line that can bail us out even if we concede some goals."We are very happy with Peña and there is no reason to change now in La Liga or the Champions League"
Well shit.
Guess we're probably going to lose against Bayern and Madrid.
I was thinking the same, Flick has a bigger question mark regarding Szczesny than Pena for now it seems. BUT, if Pena does really poor against Bayern we might see Szczesny between the goalposts. He probably has a reason tbh. If you asked me one team I would not want to face in the world right now with a sub-standard goalkeeper, I would say Bayern by a country mile. Olise has been a real game changer for them and they are scoring goals for fun right now.
If Pena starts, my positivity about our chances would jump immediately to negativity
Way, way too early to doubt Flick. Pena's last two games were clean sheets and Szczesny has only just returned after 3 months of watching Netflix and increasing the share price in Marlboro.starting to doubt Flick , why bring this guy in if not to play the upcoming 3 games. baffling
You are panicking so much, guys.
Szczęsny is better than Pena in every possible form, even after one month retirement and while smoking cigarettes, but I dont think that Pena is gonna concede absolutely dogshit goals.
I dont think it's that important who's gonna be our goalkeeper vs Bayern.
Unless Pena choke and concede 3 goals that Szczęsny wouldn't concede
But I think that's not gonna be the case. We'll see, hard to tell.
No shit, Sherlock. Pena is dogshit? WowIt's really hard to tell if the "goalkeeper" who conceded 3 goals agains every random La liga team last season is good enough to face Bayern and Madrid. Impossible to tell...
Pena wasn't facing the heat of Bayern in CL and Clasico in those 2 matches.Way, way too early to doubt Flick. Pena's last two games were clean sheets and Szczesny has only just returned after 3 months of watching Netflix and increasing the share price in Marlboro.
He will end up number 1 eventually, it's only October.

We know what Pena isn't and we know what Szczesny is. If we persist with Pena, I only see bad outcomes in the upcoming week and the entire season potentially being derailed.
Flick has to be brave here. You don't lose the nerve for big games while being out for 2-3 months. Especially as a GK. We need that.
Mr. CL who took Juventus to QF, R of 16 (exit to small team), R of 16 (exit to small team) in 3 years? Also we shouldnt forget Szech played with Cristiano for 3 years so he came in conctact with the aura of Mr.Cl
