I really don't see where the praise warranted. He is so one dimensional you can predict easily where he'll go and what he'll do. Defenders only need to shut down one lane and he is clueless.
Suppose he can only do so much with dead right leg. And yes, if his stamina fails him there really is nothing left.

You're too rude with him. He's young and lacks maturity and consistency but Balde definitely has something, you'll aknowledge him in the future.

I appreciated him 2 years ago. It's not like I have an agenda. Quality is not there. He hasn't improved. Imo.

Not defending him, but he's been a bit more aggressive going forward and willing to take on defenders last few games.

Quality is not always there, and may never be, but he's a bit more unpredictable at least.

Lol relax he's not the best LB in the world, but he's been steadily improving, will be back to the form he showed in the league winning season soon if not better.

People forget he's only really play one full season in his career.

Last few games he has been very good in first half and faded in second a bit.

Flick is aware of it and he is one of the most rotated starters with that god awful Gerard getting minutes.

On Gerard.. that lad can throw a ball better than he can pass one. Fucking rocket.

Watching back full game.. he was absolutely brilliant in that first half an hour.

It is almost to hard a shift to sustain that for even much past half time with how he has to run up and down that flank.

Maybe something for Flick to look at and if get likes of Rashford who could head onto that touchline at times and let Balde sit for more rest.

Resting him with Gerard is such a clear drop and lost any width on left.

Nah, he's frustrating to watch - indeed very one-dimensional. We really need a starting LB, Balde as backup is his level.

And possibly Cancelo.
