Martin is 23 in a month, he is hardly a prospect.

He's gotten better. I think he's proved that he does have a future in the league at least if he gets sold.
Bit of a win/win situation with him. Do well enough in flicks/clubs eyes he stays and becomes a squad player. And also get the attention of other clubs that he's good enough for a role elsewhere in La Liga.
He came from Cornelia to the B team and usually guys like him end up having a career in the lower divisions with little hope of playing top level football. But he's shown at least recently that he has a future in la Liga in some shape or form.
