naah.. I saw the whole game 5 in the morning. He had a lot of great moments.

Think ur drunk and misunderstood my post.

Bullshit and you know it. At superhigh level, you don't dribble 3-4 opponents, and so on, that's just not possible unless you're an all time great. He was a constant danger, some actions he played well, in others he tried some difficult dribbles and lost the ball. What counts is the impact he had on the result. Which was massive.

Highlights of minutes with crazy stuff is the stuff you see vs crap or mediocre opposition.

Look at Vinicius' highlights, and he is world class. Lost most balls except one or two, without even getting a shot in.

 No. It's just a reaction on cold. After the game. Try it, the great stuff seems less insane, and the bad stuff seem more natural errors. What matters is we have a winner and it's our job to nourish him into one of the best forwards in the world.

Highlights and compilations are stuff you see vs Elche and Valladolid. The worst thing we can do is put insane pressure on this guy demanding some crazy stuff a la Messi or Ronaldinho. 90% of all world class players today don't get anywhere near that.

At Barca we always look for and expect saviours. That's not how it should work. In this game, Raphinha got mediocre service from our team, because Pedri and Gavi were, frankly, shite (as well as all other midfielder, not one had a top game). And he still scored a golazo. Instead of putting pressure on him to deliver golazos out of his arse, we should analyze why our midfield had a mediocre game with a lot of missed passes. Not speaking of you in particular here, because you are usually fair and objective (except with Koeman subjects since you drove his hype train that crashed prematurely ).

That's not my impression. He didn't have great "moments". He had a wonderstrike of insane inspiration. All I'm saying is don't make it expectation on game by game basis. That happens once every 6-7 games even for the best players.

Looking back at the game, it was a mixed bag, with many poor moments in midfield.

He did well containing Vinicius which was one the important tasks for winning the game.

I've seen this film 10 times before. Next game, he will try that shot and shoot it over, and people will say he's a flop. Even though the service he got was crap.

I hope Xavi goes hard on Gavi and Pedri because they had a shit game.

Raphinha did 2-3 more great runs, but Gavi and Pedri were with their head down not even realising what is going on around them. I have to say I have my worries regarding these kids making the mental transition from having to make top 4, to competing for La Liga and potentially CL. Not so sure they are on board with the pressure that objective implies.

yes, gavi and pedri were underwhelming.

In a normal team, that shot he tried goes over 7 times out of 10, and it is those runs that he should score from, with the midfielders doing their job like a De Bruyne or Modric would have done.

I think I would like fewer golazos and more team-worked goals.

You're really on drugs, mate.

This does miss some moments, including the bad, where he was flat footed by Vinicius and Christensen saved his ass.

Oh this is the Araujo thread. Carry on, don't mind me. Admittedly, I'm on 2 Mai Tais and one Mojito already.
