Still cant believe what this dude has done yesterday. I think because it was his misplaced pass he wanted to do everything to correct his mistake...but he only made it worse.

Pique's passing and Araujo's speed/legs is a rare combo.

VVD has both plus football IQ and elite positioning.
I was saying speed and you replied with positioning.
Positioning can be taught/learned, speed is harder to teach/learn.
Barca probably can not afford to pay what Liverpool paid for VVD nowadays.

VVD is one of the quickest CBs ever and easily defended Mbappe and Traore 1 on 1 with the half the pitch to run into.
Marking and positional discipline is something all elite defenders have.

Only half joking. Dumb ass decision to foul aside, it ain’t the first time he makes rash decisions and risks penalties or red cards. We joke that Vinicius is a resident of his pocket but half the time is Araujo straight up fouling him. We’d be up in arms if it happened to one of our players.
He has speed but his acceleration is pretty average, positioning is still suspect, reading of the game likewise, he’s shite with the ball at his feet. He could improve positioning since he’s still young for a CB, but everything else is hardly improvable.
Would honestly sell if an offer of over 80m comes. Would probably allow us to go for the likes of Bruno Guimaraes at DM position which is a more pressing need at his point.
