4 - Ronald Araújo

Romero is not disciplined enough either.

Want to see how Araujo does first when he returns. His contract situation and injuries is a problem though even if he makes a successful comeback in this system.

One dumb CB for another dumb CB?

Romero makes rash, careless and emotional decisions all the time.

Exactly. Flicks system requires smart CBs, not necessarily physical ones. Th8s gas surprised me because I thought without Araujo we would have issues. Let's see how Araujo does when he comes back.

My post was more of a tongue in cheek since he has a long contract, but disagree that he's not disciplined enough.

He's shown a lot of cases that he is focused, complacency is one of his weaknesses.

He either adapts to this style of play or gets sold. Mainly not messing up the offside trap. If he can do that hey big up to you. I don't see him being disciplined enough. All it takes is a small error and keeping a player onside. That's the difference between 4-0 Madrid in the 1st half and 0-0 like it turned out with Cubarsi/Inigo (Huge IQ)

Christensen I think will mesh amazing in this Hansi Flick system. Araujo maybe not.

At worst sell Araujo and finance Nico Williams. At best Araujo is a guaranteed starter that makes the defense so much better.

Laughable that people who sit on their behinds all week playing video games doubt the ability of a high level professional to understand offside schemes.

Araujo is a quality player. He will walk into that 1st team once fit.

honestly, we should cash out
Too short-sighted. Inigo deserves to start currently, but options are still needed and Araujo offers pace no one else can offer.

Also, as of now, every player has improved under Flick so it is very likely Araujo will improve too. Lots of negativity around Araujo since his fuckup in CL, but people forget that Ronald was one of the few top-perforners in a team that was struggling hard.

He loves Barca and once he plays in that Flick Team he will happily extend his contract.

In theory, he and Cubarsi should form a dream partnership.

Cubarsi and Faye could found an even better one over time.

Just saying
