Few times today he has enough pace to try and win ball early but still get back in and cover if doesnt make it.

He kept up with Isak easily today when Lenglet was falling behind. Kept up to Williams too the other day against Bilbao. Much needed pace in defence at last.

Yep. A lesson to be learned. Best and most promising players are basically the ones from Barca B or low money buys from proper scouting work. Only exception is De Jong.

Even these guys wouldn't be playing if Pique was healthy. It would be Lenglet and Pique every big game.

Barca could have 70% players from La Masia, or young Spanish talents and rest of to be WC.
Now we have 15 players that are having great money, no market value and they are mediocre at the best.

Shame Barca didn't get Ferran Torres , Olmo, Asensio, Adama, Hermoso or others.

You don't have to be smart enough to know that Coutinho,Griezmann,Arda Turan,Gomes,Lenglet are mediocre players.

Easy to say now.. that's why it's hindsight.

Coutinho and Griezmann aren't mediocre players, at least they weren't at the time we bought them. One could argue those were always going to be misfits.

Gomes had a good WC and Lenglet did well for Sevilla, was also rather solid under Valverde.

Was never sold on most of the list even, but wish it was that easy.
