4 - Ronald Araújo

Apart from the injury issues with him, why sign Tah and get rid of Araujo? Inigo isn't a youngster and Tah ain't proven here, woulnd't sell/loan him for peanuts.

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
Di Marzio and Romano reporting about Juventus' interest on him.
Is that relevant to the point made? NO

Polo and Torello are not in Italy, they are in Barcelona, very close to the board, and they are who shamelessly 'reported' about Araujo's intentions/feelings in a way totally reminiscent of them and others 'reporting' about De Fraud many times

The Italy-based ones did not report anything about Araujo's side

I am not stupid. Are you?

Tell me one thing.

If a player or a player's agent is negotiating with another club on personal terms and a possible transfer.
What does that mean? That the player is considering it.
What does Polo's report say? That Araujo is considering it.
And you're whining about this and calling it some sort of an evil plan and propaganda from the club?

Frenkie situation is totally different because MAN UTD and BARCA had an agreement, and then MAN UTD had to find a way to convince Frenkie who didn't even want to speak with them.

This is Araujo/his agent planning a possible move with Juventus before they've even contacted us.

And Polo isn't a Laporta bet either, guy has been writing non stop every day in the past year, in desperation for clicks.

This was just an obvious attempt to be part of an ongoing story.

Shame, because he was once reputable. But this barely get you anywhere unless you are super connected to multiple clubs.

@khaled_a_d

I think I am very clear. Don't play games.

Polo reported two supposed facts:
1) that Araujo admitted to the dressing room (that can be empirically verified) that he wants to go
2) that Araujo is mentally exhausted seeing Cubarsi-Inigo starting.

Where did he get this information as a journalist?
If this is NOT coming from Araujo's entourage or Araujo's himself (or at least a teammate for no1)...

... then he is a credible as toilet-paper, and not only that: he is the mouthpiece of those forces inside Barcelona that want to kick Araujo out.

Connect the dots to find who would want to kick him out

His agent is talking to Juventus is a totally different story from what Polo reported. Don't play the stupid
Teams talk to agents to communicate their intentions/interests and their proposals.

Polo, on the other hand, reported clear facts about Araujo and his intentions.
See my reply to Khaled above.

It is as evil as any smear campaign orchestrated by the club to kick a player out.
With the difference that in the case of Frenkie the player was/is much more expendable and never justified his place in the team.

PS: Who told you his agent never contacted us?
They have been negotiating for a long while, with the club lowballing him, after they scandalously gave him 6m gross in 2022 and 13m gross to Kounde

Fernando Polo: "Araujo has admitted that he is considering leaving"

Considering.

This is a smear campaign? You're not making any sense.

Don't evade when getting cornered...

I posted the exact quotes above, and its not this extract.

@Barca_Buzz
The Uruguayan has admitted in the dressing room that it is true that he is considering leaving the club this January and that if he does leave, he has always prioritized the Premier League.
@ffpolo & @RogerTorello [md]

@BarcaTimes
Araujo feels 'mentally exhausted' after seeing the rise of Iñigo and Cubarsí. The potential signing of Jonathan Tah is also a possible reason. [@ffpolo]

For starters...
2 UNACCEPTABLE 'smear campaign' type of leaks

Numbers are being thrown arouns by different sources. Some say Barca won't sell for less than 45-50, others 60-70.

People need to calm down with the 100m expectations.

Question is, where are the other rich clubs with the interest? Most clubs in the world would benefit from him, that includes rich PL clubs.

:lol: "Araujo is mentally exhausted seeing Cubarsi-Inigo starting" :lol: Give me a fucking break :lol:
Anyway, Araujo (when fit) is our first choice CB with Cubarsi - everybody and their mother knows that. Araujo is fucking excellent beside the brainfart he had that costed us massively. Araujo most probably looking for more cash from us, how much does he make now?

JUST IN: Details on the negotiations between Barcelona and Juventus for Araujo:

- €5m loan until the end of the season
- €20m purchase clause
- €5m bonuses
Huh? :lol: First of all, why the fuck would he want Juve? Second of all, if remotely true... 20M for one of the best defenders playing right now? :lol: Third... loan?! :lol: Yooo, I've heard some retarded transfer rumors - but this one takes the cake, it's beyond retarded :lol:

Whatever it takes to get that FFP sorted for Olmo. Innit.

But why would you sell Araujo for 5m loan + purchase offer in summer when you can sell Eric for 10m now? Both on same wages.

It's not like Araujo with 12m left would drop below 20m.

Plus with half a season more you got the chance for Araujo to renew and get a starting spot if/when Inigo finally crocks.

But really, if remotely true - what the fuck is up with Araujo trying to leave Barca? He makes around 7M, new contract will out him above 10M for sure. He is a starter, he's mostly liked by the fans. He'll fit right in into Flicks style/tactics - we couldn't have asked for a better CB for Flick. Etc etc etc. The fuck is his problem (if true...)?
