Oddly, they even went so far to talk about making mistake to concede that corner. As if it's not glaringly obvious goal was 100% Araujo fault.
I do like Araujo but this is not first time he failed to own up to his mistake.
Just say: I fucked up and move on instead of diluting it to nonsense.
As nobody comes out to claim an individual glory when he scores the winning goal, make a save, defend a goal bound ball, etc.... so should it be if there were individual errors that caused a goal. Its a team sport, not an individual one. Move on.

Especially if the most important person, Flick, told players he was happy with them and they should all forget the match so they could focus forward. Asking for individual responsbilities is meaningless.

Move on....the players are already enjoying their Sundays with their families and have forgotten about the match.

I am a pro Araujo here(no shame in that).....but goal was 100% his fault. Completely dumb defending. Even amateurs wouldn't do that

As budding CDs in the academy then, we were taught to always defend a corner behind the attacker with all parts of our body matching those which the attacker could score with.

Araujo allowing Natan to outjump him (even while holding him) thereby allowing a slight advantage in height was too amateurish.

Mistakes happen. Glass is half full. Move on. Asking for one player to openly take responsibility for a collective failure wont solve nothing.

Yes, goal was definitely on him. Nice work on showing balance and acknowledging that while being a fan of the player.

Hopefully it does not faze the lad and he comes back stronger.

Mature of you to admit to it.
