I love how everybody knows he'll get injured in the first couple of games. So many fortune tellers on this forum. I'd rather have Puyol next to Piqué than Mascherano.

That's not my point I know that Puyol is not the man who's going to get us through an entire season. My point is that all people are writing him off when he's arguably the second best defender we have at the club. So annoying, especially if you consider how much of a legend Puyol is.. so disrespectful to talk about him this way.

He most likely will.

He's a legend, but unfortunately he's almost always injured these days, and we can't rely on him any more.

Don't really understand what's disrespectful about that? When you look at the past 2 years, the chance is very high that Puyol will get injured again after 4-5 games.

When he'll play, he'll be awesome no doubt, and boss like usual, but then he'll go in beast mode again and jump 3m high and injure his shoulder or something, that's his character, and it's a little bit too late to change that now I guess

Probability or not, as long as Puyol is healthy, he is the main step to improve the defence as best as currently possible. And given the unpredictability of his injury and our CB saga written in the stars, he is our main hope right now. Which doesn't mean we don't desperately need a new CB. But still.

Well its also likely Adriano will get injured next year. Different type of injuries but if he is approaching 36 I don't see him becoming iron man again.
