Puyol himself said he wasn't comfortable, and that he didn't know when to bomb forward or to stay back... it was really bad. He had no idea what to do.

yeah... but the legend that he is, he shouldn't be doing such stuff. I mean just 4 years ago he played the CL final in that position with flying colors. I guess the injury is indeed taking its toll on Puyi :sad:

He no longer has the skills necessary to play RB. He has 0 speed, just to name one thing. It was a stupid decision by Tata and Puyol paid for it.

I agree. It'd be better if he played 3-4-3, than to put Puyol as RB.

That's true, but I can't blame him for exploring the possibility. It was a pretty much irrelevant game, so no biggie. In fact, if he wanted to make sure that Puyol couldn't do it, or see if he could, this was a good opportunity.

The Celtic game would have been a better one for experiments like this if we got a point against Ajax. Same goes for the CDR games. But other than that, I agree, Ajax probably was the best game besides the ones I've mentioned for things like this.
