Got the feeling that he is going to retire very soon, the news could come any day now. He said that he would if he kept getting injured.

Is it me or has Puyol barely played since returning? I miss our captain's presence on the field. :(
No it's not you, it's a fact. He was all over the place, didn't really seem of making it well, like the Ajax performance which was bad. Unfortunatelly some day we will have to learn living without him as our captain. With so many injuries i don't think he can make it ever again.

Still, I think he needs to be given some game time to know for sure. He always had good games coming off other injuries, he didn't have this time but he was played as RB one game.

He has played 3 liga games, 1 cl and 2 cdr matches. He hasn't looked very good in any, and now it seems he's injured again.

It's sad to see his body refusing to cooperate with his mental strength. Hanging his boots must be hard but he might end up doing it sooner than he wished for, and that will be a very sad day for all of his :( .

How would Tata give him game time if he's constantly having fitness problems and even last season when he played he was in pain?

I mean this season, assuming he could stay injury free. I just don't want to see him gone because of his poor performances, obviously there's nothing we can do about the injuries.

I remember we were all eagerly awaiting for him to be back and now that he is, we'd rather he retired.

The desperation of people wanted him back (myself included) was because of the lack of defenders after not getting one in the summer, and Tata not trusting Bartra as much as needed. We were looking for a savior that will assert the defensive problems at least until another proper defender comes along just like he did whenever he had the chance to play in the last 2 seasons when he was the only good defender available (Starting with Abidal 2nd cancer diagnose and Masch starting to go off form) But what happened instead? This Puyol showed up and he wasn't at his best. Not even close to be good enough to play at the moment against the likes of Osasuna or even Cartagena. It's sad to see him in such shape.

Is there any way he can retire, but we can have him stand on the sideline in the back and just yell orders to our defenders? That'd be incredible :puyol: :pep:
