5 - Iñigo Martínez

He's always realiable and good, was also good for Xavi when people criticised him but he didn't have a lot of bad games, just too much injuries. The big test is coming now, we'll se how he'll do. If he plays well in the next two matches I don't think Araujo walks back into the starting 11 for now.

He seems to be responding well physically to the training. Looks stronger visibly and fitter, faster.

No doubt he is playing at a high level and is deserving of starting.

i understand it is a norm here to rate players on small sample sizes but let no one pretend he is the new Paulo Maldini or the reincarnation of Oscar Ruggeri.
Please quote me a post where people say he's anything of that sort?

Always the hyperbole for you.
I am asking why people don't rate him, and here comes you saying why does the forum think he is a World class player and Maldini or some shit.

None of our defenders are that. None.

He's been good and seems to have good chemistry with Cubarsi.
If he was few years younger noone would be thinking of replacement. Particularly for likes of Tah.
If he carries like this, I think he still has a year or two in top flight. Renew him at the end of the year.
I hope Araujo performs well, while Christensen stays injury-free. We will have a solid 3-4 man for the 2 CB positions.
Think we were looking at Tahh because of our injury-prone CBs and perceived lack of depth.

Flies under the radar. People don't talk about him enough. From an injury prone aging player under Xavi to a fuckin wall under Flick. He chains game after game, is fit for the next one. Insane development in his age under Flick.
I don't even want to bench him in this form when Araujo comes back.

Bro, why doesn't this Forum rate him?

The guy's is dropping 7-8/10 games for the past 8 games and the Forum still looking for a CB.

If he carries this form we actually dont need one, bar someone leaving.
9 Games now. And counting.

Bro is going to bully Vardrid to a pulp.

The only left-footed CB we got, and he's more irreplaceable than Cubarsi.

I was not a fan and thought it was a poor signing but credit where it's due, he's stepped up this season. Organizing the youngsters well and looks to be a leader.
