So young, playing with the first team against European hot-shots - looked so calm and confident on the ball, amazing technique. There shouldn't be a question mark who should be our backup for the CM/AM spot. But Rafinha has to go, hopefully Arda too - I'd give Gomes another season and play him more in Rakitic's position, box-to-box kind of role.

Agreed on everything you said. Alena can be a perfect Iniesta sub but I prefer someone like Coutinho. Gomes, not a big fan how he plays but we would see how he turns out the upcoming season. At least Rafinha and Arda need to be sold If we plan to buy an extra midfielder.

Iniesta forever why is everyone trying to get rid of our legend, arguably our best midfielder ever. If it was up to me Iniesta would stay as long as he wants, be it until 50, I don't care cause I love him and he is irreplaceable. Coutinho won't bring hunger to winner that Iniesta has nobody will, maybe a fellow Masia. Am just tired of people trying to get rid of him, its people on this forum and on the Barca board who won't give him a new contract.
This GOAT has been involved in every great that has ever happened for Barca, I could argue if it wasn't for him. We wouldn't have dominated football for a decade. Put some respect on a GOAT stop calling for his head. And GIVE a GODDAMN NEW CONTRACT already SHIT.

Where did I say that I want Iniesta to leave? Where did I show a little respect to the guy that I was following from the start of his career at Barca? I would give him a contract renewing if it is on me but not with a pay raise, just same contract. BUT the squad is aging and we need to build a team after our 30+ players, just my 2 cents. I think we miss understand each other, no problem at all.

Three games and Alena has slotted into the team and fit right in. Why the hell would we even consider sending such a player to the B team? When he gets the ball he even checks over his shoulder to see how much pressure he's under and he always, always picks out the proper pass. And he doesn't hesitate to take the shot if he sees he has space.
If this kid played like this against us we'd be begging the board to drop ridiculous money on him, but we already have him, for free. I don't care how many midfielders we have, Alena deserves a spot in the first team. He could be a full blown starter in a year or two.

He would benefit greatly from a season in the Segunda A. It's tougher than the Segunda B and he'd play week in, week out. That doesn't mean that he shouldn't be called up for the first team as well though, he should.
