Sergi Roberto should be an example for many youth kids. Why? Roberto was never the biggest or the most talented kid in la masia when he was young. He had talent, but he worked hard to reach a level I didn't expected him to reach. If a player like Roberto can reach that level, why can't a very talented kid with very good technical ability to do that? I understand why some la masia players leaves us. Because right now our club isn't good enough to convince our youth players that they are important. but to be honest I really hope they work hard and prove everybody wrong. With some patient and hard work I believe youth kids will get chances (hopefully) and at the end succeed.
You sound too romantic.
If Roberto made it, what you won't read in papers that there were 100 other guys like Roberto who didn't make it.
So, instead of saying: if Roberto has made it, we can make it too, a more realistic approach would be:
If Roberto made it, that means that 1 out if 100 of us will also make it.
"Believe in your dreams, work hard and you will make it" works only in movies.
As said above, in real life, 1 out of 20 or 1 out of 100 guys in every job ends in a Hollywood-like fairytale, like Roberto's story.
I am not suggesting: give up snd stop trying.
You should try to achieve your dreams but also you have to remain objective and not get deluded, and alter your expectations when life kicks you in the balls
