Him getting regular game time at CM and Pedri out injured might see him surpass Pedri in the pecking order. Had a huge development curve at the beginning, then stagnated, and now slowly but steadily improving nicely. Looks a lot more mature.

Nah you over rating games like this is weirder.

He made less than 30 passes and had a poor pass % and gave away ball 3rd most in team.

He was quiet today and not nearly as effective as made out.

Save it for when he plays well.

Gundo was good not amazing but was easily better for example.

Gavi wasn't sensational going forward but his defensive part of the game and his running and closing down spaces was top class. Overall really solid game. And one game saving goal line clearance too

Yes that goal line clearance was very good.

Pressing he was his usual. Lots of running and closing but too much at times and gets bypassed when shouldnt. Still but rash on that side of it.
