There is some weirdo cult formented around Gavi. There's no comparison with Dejong. Gavi's a kid, who has had few great games over two seasona, but is mostly just mediocre squad player.

The truth is he is regressing.
He's played 114 games and I'm worrying, as I said before, he has hit an early ceiling and got stuck in his ways due to reinforcement of bad habits.
He needs to be benched and be pushed to improve his game not applauded for doing shit.

There are players who peak very early and then don't develop much anymore. Saul looked like the next big star but failed to fulfill expectations. Could be the same with him.
Not the right time to shit on him though. If whole team is performing bad the coach is the first who should be held responsible.

The whole team has more or less been bad but can see the huge difference between Gavi and FDJ, Pedri and Gundo within that.
He is a huge drop off from those three... but Xavi loves him. Never seems to be poor enough to be dropped etc.
What chance Xavi is reading riot act to Gavi when he plays as shite as has at times this season? Or can do basics of defending v Real etc.
