I can see Flick using him alongside Pedri and Casado as a midfield 3. Olmo is very injury prone and won't be available for nearly half the games.Don't see him replacing casado, doesn't do what casado does.
No one in the team does really, but he has been fine in the minutes played, improving every game.
Casado though just needs a rest, which is why de Jong needs to get his shit together.

Yes, he isn't a DM. I can see him developing into the midfield general archetype similar to a Kante, Keane, Gattuso, etc.No way in hell he replaces Casado long term with his positional unawareness.
He is a wild card midfielder and very useful when playing an agressive opponent. But he doesn't do the little things like Casado does. I think he is a sub for either Pedri or Olmo at this point.
