Hansi about: Gavi: ‘I think his best position is as a six or an eight. He has the quality to play different positions. He always puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. We'll see what happens tomorrow. I was very pleased with his performance in the number six position. He also showed how he keeps the ball, which was fantastic.’

In tighter games when likes of Olmo out there is scope for Pedri/Gavi deeper and FDJ more freedom to link with forward line.

Flicks system has a lot of importance on AM that can drive with ball. mobility and final pass.. that just isnt Gavi and its not his fault either.

Recipe for Flick from here to recover Gavi is minutes in more suited positions and praise.

Passing 100%.
10 ball recoveries
1 goal.

With better finishing by yamal 1 assist.

If someone else put up those numbers you personally would say World Class.

But yea solid game
Gavi did well in my view.....but if there was anything the last 10 minutes of the match taught us, it is that the weight of creativity or controlling the tempo of a match would be expectations too high for his capabilities, as evident from when Pedri was pulled out.

By the way, ESPN Sports, Mundo,BBC Sports, Goal.com and SportsMole all have his passing accuracy as either 91% or 92%. Dont have an idea where you got your 100% from.

Pedri wouldn't have made any difference TBH, wasn't it best game which is why he was pulled.

Buuutt he is pedri.

Got it from sport, maybe got loss in Google translate.

Welcome back. Best Barca player last night by a distance. Super composed finish for the goal, some top passes, few to no errors, and fighting spirit as always even saved us at the back once or twice.

Now keep up since he's probably gonna start vs Dortmund instead of Olmo.

Will olmo be back?.

Even if he is, he definitely shouldn't start given how fragile he is.

Save him for the 2nd leg.

Gavi: "If we had won, we would be higher up the table, but that's soccer. We're annoyed about the draw because we couldn't take the chances we had. We've been good at set-pieces all season and they scored that goal, which was avoidable. We have to work on that."
