Incredible game, our little engine today. Kept things ticking centrally and kept the ball well. Also did his bits defensively with Pedri. Still could improve on defending space but that would be nit picking. Did well with his 100+ touches.

We're not going back to a 4-3-3 anytime soon. Nor should we.

Going to be Pedri - Bernal/Gavi/Frenkie in no particular order with Olmo as CAM for as long as Flick is here, and hopefully when we eventually replace him as well.

With Olmo doing what he does, I think we are better with 2 pivots and an AM.

But, that said, when Olmo is out, it should be tested against a lower-tier opponent.

Yeah, and it's not easy to pull that off anyway unless you got the right players.
I don't think it's the ideal setup for Pedri anyway and what do you do with Olmo then?
Two out of Gavi, Frenkie and Bernal will always be benched for the big games if the other guys are healthy. They have to get used to it.

Nah no top coach is playing that.

No one in right mind drops Olmo to put a DM beside Pedri and Gavi.

Gavi is not good enough in final third and Pedri no top coach will want to restrict from how he plays deep.

Pedri and Gavi don't fit a 4-3-3. Gavi has always been a player without a position shoehorned at LCAM since breaking out and Pedri has played 4-2-3-1 since his Las Palmas days
