7 - Ferran Torres

A good game today IMO. Was evident that he excells on RW. When he was moved to the middle, he became anonymus.
Not really.

He is helpless at RW, at least in how Xavi plays his RW: out wide hanging the touchline, asked to create.
He could be very good at a different RW role: wide-forward that waits for the right time to make a move in the box and finish off chances. That is not how we play that position.

But I agree that he was anonymous at AM

Right now the only position he can play in Xavi's system is that of CF, holding the line, and making moves hoping one will spot him and make a vertical pass in space (only Felix currently can do that)

It's not like Ferran would be great at anything. We have seen him pretty much everywhere in the attack and he has been at most ok. He has also played as a RW more internally and still didn't do much. An occasional goal is what he can bring. Wouldn't miss him to be honest, but we have no squad currently

You have seen him under coach Xavi Hernandez.
Watch him at City under Pep, when he was playing CF. Totally different story

Some of you are stuck with prime Messi or prime Neymar standards of evaluations, but it's a fact that the coach makes hell lot of a difference in how a player plays, and hence in how he appears better than he is if the system promotes his skills and hides his flaws

Sadly he has always been better as a sub this season. He will get a few more shots as starter thanks to the injuries, but he isn't taking his chances.

Saying that when everyone is back, if Ferran can continue to suit that super sub role, he can still be beneficial this year.

Next year has to go to a smaller side and carve his future out away from here.

Sell on summer.

We have already seen to much games, and he can't start.

He will never win us 3 points when it is 0-0.

Limited skillset for winger, not crazy fast, not agile...

He could be better as CF in 352 team.

Hope so we will end nightmare, and get player like Nico Williams on wing.

I agree. He is a fine sub, but never a starter for this club. Lacks the IT factor.
