7 - Ferran Torres

Wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal puts in an offer for him in the summer.

There are rumors awhile ago that Arteta is a fan and they need to reinforce their front line.

But I think he'll stay I think.

A striker that isn't really a striker.

Sounds like an Arteta move.

To be fair, after this seasons success of Raphinha and Dembele, I reckon half of Europe is going to be looking for these inverted wingers come support strikers to play as false 9, come Summer market.

Especially considering the striker market is basically Gyoko, Isak, Black Donnie Yen and potentially Retegui.

24 goals and 7 assists in 3121 minutes the past two seasons and a lot of them have helped Barca win/turn games.

Should definitely be renewed if he is happy with situation.

Very useful in games like the weekend when offers another threat in box for that AM/SS role. Offers infitinitely more off the bench in similar area than likes of Gavi does at moment.

If is not on a big wage and we don't hype him towards a 65 m

Weird thing: he is. For no apparent reason at all. We tripled his salary if the reports are to be believed.

But salary aside, cannot hope for a better backup across the attack than him.

Luuk de Jong springs to my mind. Wouldn't be hard to find better backup at all. Wouldnt cost as Ferran did and would pay him fraction of his wages.

It’s better to keep Ferran’s profile than bring back Luuk when we have Lewandowski.

Luuk is only good for spamming crosses.

And you could easily end up with a bum like Braithwaite as the backup instead. Ferran is useful and if he renews on reasonable terms might as well keep him unless you get an offer you cannot refuse and he's ready to leave.

And have Lewa for that anyway... Barca are not putting on two tall targets in box like that and spamming crosses.

Ferran is far far better this season and last than LDJ ever was for Barca.

LDJ was decent but got more praise as provided more than expected.

I thought BarcaForum loved Luuk?

Folk like him as he came in, worked hard and provide some moments at important time.

Living utter delusion if think he was even close to as good as Ferran though.

Even that season both at club.. LDJ 8 goals/assists and nothing much against better sides.. Ferran in half a season got 13 goals/assists and was class in 4-0 away win v Real etc.
