I meant that the fee we end up paying Liverpool would only be 135m instead of 160m

That's interesting that it would save that much on the original deal, i thought he and club hit many of the extras.

But it we can get 80 and it keeps what we payed to 135, do it. Some times you lose money on deals, some times you make it, part of doing business. Lenglet and Arthur are worth far more than when we bought, so are Umtiti and Rakitic who are likely to be sold. I really think our overall transfer business the last 3 years hasn't been bad.

I can't believe everyone is blaming Coutinho without even thinking that Valverde is the one to blame for his current form. Why don't you look at his form last year when he came here after he spent 2.5 years under Klopp. Valverde fucking killed him!

why not? you and others were burying dembele for not making it 4-0 instead of 3-0

meanwhile this guy didn't do a single thing in both legs despite starting against his old club. if he cant get motivated under those conditions then its clear he'll never be of any use

just get him outta here and ship him straight to china!

First of all I was defending Dembele here when everybody were attacking him in his first year. I still like the kid but that HORRIBLE reaction in the last moments of the first game was unbelievable for a 105 mil player and without a doubt he has some problems with his IQ. Two years have past and he still doesn't speak Spanish. After 2 years in Barcelona a 90y old people would learn already and a young kid can't? Don't bring Demebele into this discussion please!

coutinho had a full two games in which he started both and still couldn't do anything, so god knows what type of low IQ he has.

can barely do anything on the pitch other than cut in on his right foot and you want to justify keeping him here? he plays like a pea sized brain idiot and i'll be glad when he's rushed out the door to china

I don't blame Coutinho but to me it is pretty clear he isn't a great fit with Messi, and further, he/Busi/Raki/Sergi add too much collective slowness & collective lack of physicality--most of them should be moved to the bench or move on and you can't justify his wage on the bench. In the end I think his value will be greater to another club than to us, and we can use the funds for a better fitting player--just that simple and not personal for me.

I can't believe anyone still blaming the coach for his form.
Players need to held accountable, Coutinho had the worst dip in form of all team members, he played in his position and team tried to adapt and support as much as they can.
Players don't lose ability to dribble, shoot, or pass just because of coach. A player like that is a one of weak mentality and means he need to leave too.
We have seen plenty of mediocre coaches, but class player still show their class under them.
I don't know what is his problem, but if I've to bet I would say it is an off the pitch problem. But damage is already done and need to sell.
We barely seen any Barca player to rebound from such bad year early in his Barca career. We could lose huge amount of money if we keep him and he continue his form.
