I agree with the 1st part but not last part.
IMO Coutinho is just not going to be the best he can be with Messi. You can give one guy our of 11 lots of freedom and little defensive duties, but pretty hard to do that for 2 guys. Coutinho was very good for Liverpool, their player of the season his last year there and feared in the EPL. He has been very good for Brazil. But the scheme and sourounding players are different.
Hopefully a fine Copa display raises his transfer fee potential, but I just don't see him fitting around the other Barca pieces, in particular Messi. If he does fit it must be as a midfielder and not winger, but you would need another really athletic all around mid along with De Jong so as a group they can cover really good ground and defend well.
to play with messi you need to be pure winger on either side. ala pedro , villa,
messi just need people on either side making striker runs so he can feed through.
thats all he needs and sometimes he ignores and goes solo.
