The main stumbling block is that they won't be able to find a replacement in time.

Maybe offer them Gomes or/and Rafinha.

115 Fixed+Andre Gomes.

That's one offer I would put on the table. but it would depend on Gomes willing to move or Klopp wanting him. There's also Money+Rafinha but don't think Liverpool would bite with that one.

120m should be good enough IMO. That's alot of money even though the market is ridiculous. Phil has done the hard work. We just need to prepare a good enough offer for LFC to consider. There's still 3 weeks till the windows closes, more than enough time for them to get replacements.

Any amount of money will be worthless to Liverpool, because there isn't a replacement for sale. Sure, there's always deadline day, but those type of transfers always involve crap players or ones in the last year of their contract. I don't think Liverpool will sell, because it doesn't make any sense to from their perspective.

I agree but if the reports of him handing in a transfer request are true, then Liverpool is screwed either way. Player stays = less motivation and fans giving him a hard time.

Suarez put in a transfer request after Arsenal activated his release clause in 2013. Liverpool still refused him, especially because all of this happened with 3 weeks left of that summer's transfer window.

Klopp and the club are massively displeased about the timing of Phil's request which is on the eve of the season opener. The lad couldn't have done more to piss off the club and fans if you ask me. A lot of the fans also believe his so called 'back injury' is phony and he's holding out until Barca come and get him.

Phil is the highest paid player in LFC history and adored by the fans. So... I dnt think he would back himself into a corner like this unless he was really really really determined to leave and at some point FSG will have to take all this into consideration.....whether there's a replacement or not. The lad wants out. What's more his transfer request actually came after FSG released an official statement. In simple terms he's telling the club where to shove it and he wants to leave. FSG would be wise to negotiate a fee and part ways with the player at this point for the good of everyone involved.

What? If Arsenal activated Suarez release clause Liverpool would have absolutely nothing to say and he'd be free to go.

There's no way Liverpool can command such a high fee next year if they force him to stay for another season, and there is no reason we should offer more than 80-85m next year if we even come back for him.

Coutinho or not, we need a proper midfield signing this summer, and if we somehow miraculously pull it off, then he won't be needed next year.

I'm surprised he did this. I thought he would stay quiet and be happy even if it was to leave next year for PSG.

Looks like he really values and want this Barca move.

PSG has Rabiot, much better 8 than him, also 22.

I'll reply with a few pictures.

Sooner or later, Neymar and his father will try to move someone they like or have an interest in, to PSG, and I suspect PSG will try to appease Neymar however it's possible.

These two have history going back since they were kids.

Rabiot might be a good player, but he's toast if Neymar insists on having Coutinho in his position.

And Rabiot is not better, at least not right now.
