Have you ever seen a top player not perform just because they didn't get the transfer they wanted?

People said that about Verratti and I don't see any of that.

I'm not saying his performances will dip because he doesn't want to stay. At the end of the day, it's a World Cup year and he has to earn his place in Tite's squad. What I'm saying is he's not committed and doesn't want to stay at the club any longer. Kloppo has always stressed about wanting players who are 100% committed to his project and in this instance keeping him doesn't make sense. There's more cons to keeping him than Pros. Alot of fans on their forums are already denouncing him and his 'mysterious' injury. The situation with Veratti is different. We're talking about PSG here. Money talks. They just bought Neymar FFS.

I think this "commitment" thing is relative. It's not like any of these players that Barca was/is interested in are actually unhappy at their previous clubs. They just saw the opportunity of Barca wanting them, therefor asking to be released. Prior to that they were plain normal players, training, posting pictures on insta, doing their thing. If they don't get their move, then they might be petty for a week, but at some point they'll stop thinking about it. In Verratti's and also Donnarumma's case they declared their loyalty as some part of "apology" to the team and the fans, and then everything went back to normal.

Deco=15M+Quaresma Barcelona-Porto, 2004'
That would be 50-60M today plus a 20M Quaresma.

Paco and Munir was some sort of a player swap,Valencia just wanted to keep their options flexible and made it loan, Jamdav had pretty good examples too.
It happens, not a lot but it happens if it makes sense for everyone involved

The situations are not comparable. They knew Torres was a declining player that they thought they had a replacement for.

Torres was 26 and was having very good performance back then, may be you thought you have a replacement but I highly doubt you thought about him as declining player

No wonder so many regulars from 2009-12 have left this place. Lots of mature folks who talked sensibly. Glad I'm still in touch with them via twitter and normal email correspondence.

Too many immature fanboys who have this sense of entitlement. Bojan my friend the standards here have dropped a lot.

Thank God through marriage and old uni friends plus old posters from my experience of Barca and Barcelona is a great one.

Hey fuck you, buddy.

Offer them 100M and Vermaelen (they apparently need a CB).

If they reject then forget him and go sign Seri or Trigueros.
