7 - Philippe Coutinho - V1

I just looked up that statement and read the article in full. When you do that, it seems slightly more general and doesn't point to an obvious Coutinho exit - it comes off as a "Hey, there might be stuff going on. I don't have a clue what's happening. If they sell him, well yeah. If they don't, then, well, yeah."

That's actually how it reads if you read the entire thing. Not saying it's a sign of anything, but maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up too much :p

That's a huge change from saying he is definitely staying, though, right?

I actually watched his comments live and, while it is true that he was put on the spot, there did appear to be an air of resignation about it.

If (when) we don't get him this summer, it creates a bad situation. QSG already told Sneyke he has input on signings and can make requests, and Coutinho will 100% be one of those. If they do well this year and win or seriously fight for the CL, Sneyke will request Coutinho and QSG will easily be able to pay the extraordinary fee that Liverpool request. Basically, if we don't do well and win while QSG does it almost guarantees Coutinho moving to them next year.

That is, unless they get banned in the transfer market ofc. Dunno what'll happen on that account tho, as FFP is laughably weak.

If you think our problems with Barto are bad have a look at Pool. They aren't getting anywhere far with that backline. If we make a bid for Phil, they should say thanks and sort out the center of that defense. They were at 6s and 7s against Watford. If they keep that shit up Lord knows Hoffenheim will have them reeling Tuesday. 110m from us should be good enough to help them sort that out and get someone like Van Dijk and Carvalho or Matuidi in midfield. Klopp should extend an olive branch to Sakho or let him leave.

May not have been the outright best option to improve our midfield but he certainly would've improved it as opposed to signing no one. Also would improve QSG alongside Verratti, and it's bad enough they've built up to a formidable CL challenging side and now may even get Mbappe/Oblak, and then potentially Coutinho next year. We don't need our situation getting any worse than it is, not that you mind as long as Farto is there.

Lol, maybe. I did present an "if" situation, in the case that they do well this year and we don't. If that's the scenario, it's hard to see anything other than that happening. Liverpool will likely let him go next year. RM don't need him, Bayern won't pay, he won't go to any other PL team. QSG have already been linked and it's more than likely they will go after him again with Neymar calling his shots. If they look like a better team than us after 17/18 and he has all his Brazilian buddies there, do you see him choosing us over QSG?

Going by how you rated Coutinho in the past PSG wouldnt be moving for him anyway.

So PSG with Verratti would take him and improve them but Barca only need him as signed no one else....

Are you really that dense? He'd play alongside Verratti, he's better than Matuidi/Rabiot whoever else they have so yah an improvement.

You're clearly just trying to lash out at me here, dunno why you crawled back out of your cave after scurrying away when confronted about your position. Don't bother replying here, thinly veiled attempt to hit back after being exposed for your inability/fear of presenting a falsifiable hypothesis/opinion on the board.
