everybody is taking advantage of this situation. We got novice journalists trying to learn the art of making shit up, semi established journalists trying to make a name for themselves, plus the trolls to top it all .. I don't believe a word of this until i see the official announcement. For now, the omens are really bad.

People on this forum are slightly too obssessed with Goretzka, imo.
Don't we have 10 midfielders already (and now maybe Coutinho)?
Plus a box to box midfielder Lord Paulinho, plus Roberto (a similar type) who is on a verge of leaving?

Plus, Goretzka is 22 and half years old.
Robert said that we will buy a player for the future.
That is probably someone aged 18, 19. Or 20 at max.

BM got him for next year. so no chance. Also Ed and Sport linked him to Barca this summer. When he linked with Liverpool, Sources close to Liverpool said that he already agreed terms with BM so they gave up. Whatever, not what Barca needs.

l'd prefer Soler.

Hang on. Their CEO has denied the story. The story was broken by one journalist in the U.K. who has a very poor record. And then subtweeted by twitter ITKs...

These are put independent journalists, these are twitter chancers. That's not to say there isn't something in it, but you should take nothing whatsoever from these articles.

It makes sense that the other player would be someone like Maxime Lopez; cheaper than Donkey Maria and allows us to spend more for Coutinho.

Liverpool won't sell Coutinho without a replacement as the owners would get slaughtered after promising he wouldn't be sold. They'd make a profit for the window again too despite being back in CL.

I think he'll be sold if Lemar signs.

The Liverpool journos are just repeating the official line from the club (while Lemar is negotiated).

Sadly it looks as though you may have a point ... This is from the Liverpool Echo a few minutes ago ...

Liverpool CEO Peter Moore responds to Philippe Coutinho transfer claims that Coutinho will remain a Liverpool player - nothing has changed and they will not listen to any more offers for him !?!?

They're negotiating for Lemar. They won't sell him without a replacement confirmed.
