You have to appreciate how much Coutinho want to play for Barcelona, willing to sit out the remaining CL campaign. He's an elite player unlike Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan and arguably the second or third best player in the Premier League right now along with De Bruyne and Salah.

It's a lot of money and too much money obviously.

But that's what we have to do after the club wasted hundreds of millions on average or mediocre players.

If I told you guys that Barcelona have spent more money than Real Madrid since 2010 none of you would believe me since they have a better midfield and last season had great depth, but it's true.

There hasnt been hundreds of millions wasted really and the values of some of them have gone up as well.

Even likes of Paco who I think has been decent would think could get his fee back. Even Gomes.

I am against paying too much for him but I hope our club won’t let him down by putting forward some not so serious offer. Liverpool can express the desire to sell all they want but there won’t be a deal unless we submit an offer.

This. He’s a superstar who is willing to throw away a season with Liverpool to join us. LOVE IT. At this point Barto has a chance to save some face and just pay whatever they are asking and get it done. What a 6 month turn around
